PH Whale Watch Dominica is located at Champagne Beach in Dominica. They offer daily on request boat tours in small groups
(Max 8) departing from the Ferry Terminal in Roseau. And Shore Excursions at Champagne Beach.

Departures at 9.30 AM and 1.30 PM from Ferry Terminal in Roseau (Be there 30 minutes before departure)

Whale Watch & Dolphin Cruise by Boat. (Max 8 persons)
Snorkeling tour by Boat 2 sites: Champagne Reef, Scotts Head, and in between warm up at the Hot Springs of Bubble Beach. (Max 8 persons)
Shore Excursions at Champagne Beach: Snorkeling to the Reef and Bubbles, Guided Diving (Certified Divers) and Discover Scuba Diving(Non Certified Divers)

Visit them at Champagne Beach and explore the famous volcanic bubbles of Champagne Reef. If you pre-book a guided snorkeling tour, All gear (Mask, Snorkel, Snorkelvest and Fins) is included. Also a beach chair, and drink is included in your package. At the Entrance you have to buy a marine park fee ticket for 2 USD for reef consevation. After this pass the first company and walk straight to the second Building at the Reef to our Company where is a safe Beach entrance and a short swimm to the Reef. There is also sun and Shade.

Boat Tour 1: Whale and Dolphin Cruise: Duration 3 hours. Adults 85 USD Child 4-12 70 USD (age restriction 4 years old)
Boat Tour 2: 2 sites Snorkel Tour including Gear & Guide to Champagne reef and Scotts head. With in Between a rest at Bubble Beach hot Springs. Duration 3 Hours. Adults 75USD Children 4-12 65USD (Age restriction 4 years old)
Visit our company at Champagne Beach 2nd Building direct at the Reef for Guided Snorkel Tours. Gear & Guide 25USD. Duration 1 Hour. Before and after you can enyoy the Beach at your free Beach Chair and get a free Drink. At our Bar we sell All Drinks 3USD.

All others who don’t like to snorkel can Rent a Beach Chair for 5USD to relax at the Beach during Your Tour.

Have your own gear and only need a Guide you pay the Guide 10 USD

Diving
We offer Guided Diving for Certified Divers at Champagne Beach to the Reef and The Wreck. Non Certified Divers can see the Reef by Doing the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course. (Availble on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Low Season June till September)
Champagne Beach
When you visit Champagne Beach you buy a Marine Park Fee Ticket for 2USD at the entrance when there is a Warden. After pass the first Builing and walk straight to our Commpany 2nd Building. There you will find Our Guide Adin. Also a safe Water Entrance and a Sandy Beach with Sun and Shade. We will give you safety instructions for the Beach where to enter the water en how to find the Reef and Bubbles. Dont go in the water direct after the Entrance. This is only Rocks and dangerous because sometimes see conditions can change. We have a Bar with Drinks and snacks (All drinks 3USD), Snorkel Guides and you can rent a Beach Chair for 5 USD. Gear 10USD Private GUIDE 10USD . Warning: We have clear prices for everything. Dont deal with others at the entrance after buying your marine Park Fee Ticket.

Its strongly Recommended not the to Snorkel without fins as it will be a total of 45 minutes to see everything. Warning: We not offer Full Face Masks. Selwyn ("Selo") and Brittany provide an excellent whale watching experience. (Assuming that the whales cooperate. We saw two sperm whales and were able to get within about 100 feet of them.) Selo is very knowledgeable and is passionate about how some of the tourist operations are disturbing the whales and possibly driving them away. The boat is an open skiff with a canvas top for shade and seating for 8 people. It is a seaworthy boat. On the day of our trip there was an unusual south wind that caused 3-4 foot swells and significant chop. I have 60 years experience with boats, and Selo was an excellent captain in these conditions. As I told him, he kept everybody "safe, comfortable and reasonably dry." Except for the one dash to where the whales had been sighted, he kept the boat oriented to the swells for safety and comfort. When returning to the dock he went right along the beach, providing a smooth ride and excellent views of Dominica. Suggestions: There is no bathroom (head) on the boat, so limit your fluid intake before the trip. Parking is hard to find in Roseau, so if you are driving allow extra time to find a space and to walk to the dock. Check out the south end of town, around Turkey Lane, for parking.

PH tours So my story with PH tours spans two years- I went out last year and first time no sperm whales..but met the wonderful warm team of Brittany and Sellou who were almost more disappointed than me and so got me back not once but twice! Each time was a joy despite no sperm whales- I saw dolphins and pilot whales and enjoyed wonderful boat rides and the excellent and expert company. ‘ I’ll be back! I promised. This year I returned to a big hug from Brittany- (honoured they even remembered me from all the hundreds of guests!). We went out again. Still no whales. ‘I am cursed!’ I moaned. We joked that clearly one of my ancestors must have offended sperm whales because this really was exceptional bad luck- each time people were seeing whales the day before and after - with an average 80% chance of seeing them. They got me back again ‘we specialise in breaking curses!’ Finally! a stray female had luckily remained slightly behind her family. They identified her- ‘Pinchy’ I was almost in tears I was so happy! The only sad thing was a couple of bigger boats had people on who they were taking out to swim with the whale. The whale was clearly distressed by it, trying to get away from these idiots chasing them to get their shot. I was quite ashamed at humanity. PH have a small boat, they stay a respectful distance ( yet still get you gently as close as possible)and really care and know about the whale families in the area. My whole experience with them was amazing - they feel like friends who did absolutely everything to give me the privilege of seeing one of these amazing creatures. If you decide to go - don’t be a greedy, embarrassing idiot and try to swim with them- they are driving the whales away and soon no one will see them anymore. Go with PH, the intelligent choice!

Fantastic experience. Closest we’ve ever been to a whale species. They use hydrophones to listen in on the unique language of Sperm Whales and track units across the west coast of Dominica. It’s amazing to not only have a chance to see Sperm Whales, but to listen to them communicate as well. A relaxing coastal cruise around sunset was a perfect cool down to the chase.

Wir waren zum Schnorcheln dort, und haben Schwimmflossen ausgeliehen. Die Besitzer und Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und haben uns genau erklärt, wo man gut schnorcheln kann und die Champagne Blasen aufsteigen sieht. Für 3$ erhält man ein Getränk (Rumpunsch, Bier, Softdrink, Wasser) und bekommt dafür einen Liegestuhl gratis für den ganzen Tag. Wir konnten unsere Rucksäcke ohne Bedenken bei ihnen ablegen und sie haben darauf aufgepasst! Definitiv eine Empfehlung!

We booked their guided snorkeling tour last week and it was the highlight of our Dominica trip! I’m not sure how to spell our guide’s name, but he and Brittany were awesome to hang out with for the afternoon. We had such a good time with them! I have only snorkeled once before, and they showed us different fish, coral, and where to find everything at the two different locations we visited. It was a bit a cold and windy but the last stop on the trip is a visit to a beach bar in Soufriere where the hot springs trickle out into the bay. It was perfect to sit in the warm water and heat back up after a cold swim and have a drink. The company, the views, the day on the water—it can’t be beat!

Awesome way to spend the morning! Brittney and Solle? Did a fantastic job. We had a brief spotting with a little sperm whale. They didn't have another outing booked for the afternoon so they kept us out much past the time that was alotted. We got to see another one after that. They also had some rum punch for everyone! They then took us back along the coast of the island to see some of the other sites. Will definitely book again with these two when I come back.

Empfehlenswerter Trip Das Schnorcheln war sehr schön such wenn man etwas die Nachwehen des Hurricanes Maria bei den Riffen sieht. Die Tourguides von PH Whale Watch waren sehr sympathisch und immer professionell sn unserer Seite.

Tolles Erlebnis - vorzugsweise für jüngere Urlauber Es war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis und wir haben tatsächlich Wale in unmittelbarer Nähe des Bootes gesehen! Bei der Seefahrt (mit einem für den Atlantischen Ozean/die Karibische See nicht zu großen Boot) musste man schon seefest sein. Wir hatten bei der ca. 3-stündigen Tour alles mögliche Wetter (Sonne, Regen, Wind und Wellen). Die Crew hatte aber alles - insbesondere die Fahrt bei Wellengang - in Griff! Vielen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis.

Lots of dolphin and sperm whales in some rough seas. The sea was rough, but our crew did a wonderful job of providing great views of dolphins and once further out , several sperm whales. Our Captain wore a Dive Dominica shirt and worked well with his friendly crew who took great care of us all. Some passengers had mobility issues, yet the crew took great care of them and made sure they got to see the incredible creatures we were seeing.

Good fun but no whales! PH met us at Cruise pier and walked us 5 mins to board small boat with 6 other people plus 2 crew Enjoyable, occasionally bumpy ride but unfortunately no dolphins or whales. Would do trip again if in the area as it was a fun 3 hours

A definite first choice We were impressed with the knowledge, Know-how , and personality of the 2 who took us out. Brigitte and sello (sp?). We saw 6 whales and had plenty of time to observe them. It was impressive to see the technology and inter ship communications that gave us the best chance of seeing whales. We loved the small group setting and the ecological consciousness of the company. Well worth the time and money.
